The merger of Veritas with Symantec provided the grounds for existing Veritas licensing applications to integrate with Symantec’s licensing systems.

The Enterprise Licensing System Configuration Management application was an initiative aimed at developing a new registration site that was flexible enough to meet the license fulfillment requirements proposed by various product groups within Symantec.

The following features and functionalities were supported with the release of the License Management application:

• The merging of vLicense and ELS Configuration Management into one common customer facing license registration and management system (License Management).
• The ability for License Management to support all customers
• The ability for the License Catalog to support Symantec security entitlements; adding, searching, and management functionalities.
• The ability for License Management to provide customers with a single view into their availability and security entitlements.
